DIVERSITY HIRING INITIATIVE INCLUSV RELEASES NEW WEBSITE & TRAINING PROGRAM TO BUILD PIPELINE OF DIVERSE TALENT FOR 2017 TRANSITION EFFORTS
WASHINGTON, DC—Following a successful organizing campaign in the 2016 campaign cycle resulting in Hillary for America, Bernie Sanders for President, O’Malley for President, the DNC and the DCCC self reporting staff diversity, INCLUSV is launching a training program at www.Inclusv.com to support thousands of campaign staffers of color who will soon be looking for work.
Alida Garcia, Executive Director, Inclusv:
“We’re launching our training program today because on Wednesday thousands of people of color helping elect candidates across the country will soon be unemployed and we want to build community around them. Over are the days of progressive organizations and campaigns complaining that they can’t find qualified candidates of color—the ball is in their court to do the work to help these leaders of color find their next opportunities. We hope to be a resource in their efforts.
If Secretary Clinton is victorious on Tuesday we intend to remind her of the communities that ensured her primary and general election victories and make it clear that there is an expectation that her administration moves past the friends & family stereotype and reflects the diversity of the people who will have put her in the White House.”
